Renowned for creating modern, music themed pubs, 580 wanted to expand into foodie territory, and enlisted CBFS to scope out and create their first venture of this nature by coming up with a pub F&B concept. Situated on York Street, The Fellow in King’s Cross was an enormous success, prior to the urban renewal of King’s Cross. This inspired 580 to create a second similar pub, The Owl and the Pussycat in Redchurch Street, in the heart of the now trendy Shoreditch.

Both pubs had enormous commercial, consumer and critical success, and were both in their own way groundbreaking, becoming successful in then unfashionable areas.
